More about the Bahá’í faith

Originating from Persia (modern Iran), the first Bahá’ís who settled in Singapore arrived from India in the early 1950s. By 1952, Singapore was home to a dozen Bahá’ís and a local governing body was elected to meet their needs. There are no priests, docents or clergies in the Bahá’í faith and the affairs of the Bahá’í community are managed by annually elected Spiritual Assemblies at the national and local levels. Bahá’ís open their homes to family, friends, and neighbours for worship and fellowship.
