Meet Richard Kuah!

Hi everyone, I am Richard Kuah, a nature enthusiast-turned-licensed tour guide! Even though guiding is my full-time job, I love surveying our islands during my free time to catalogue our rich marine biodiversity.

To me, Pulau Hantu contains a natural heritage like no other. Even though the island is located next to a landfill (Pulau Semakau) and an oil refinery (Pulau Bukom), it holds so much biodiversity! I remember when I visited recently that I could hardly find a space to find my footing. While it may appear to be bountiful and thriving, we must be mindful that this is a very fragile ecosystem. As tempting as it may be, it is crucial that we see-no-touch and respect the environment. I hope that everyone will take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints. With that out of the way, I cannot wait to meet everyone and share this experience this coming August!
