Food has always been a passion of mine. I am a baker at heart. I love trying new recipes and experimenting with different flavours. There is something so satisfying about creating a dish from scratch and seeing the enjoyment on people’s faces when they eat it. Sundays were always special because my family would have a big meal that everyone would look forward to. One of my favourite ingredients to work with is pandan leaf. It does wonders to food in every form (leaf, paste, liquid extract). I use it for most of my baked goods and it brings an oomph to my food that makes it more enjoyable to eat.
a heaven where we find happiness, comfort, solace and our loved ones.
I am cooking my family’s favourite and comfort vegetarian Indian food. This will include dishes such as mock chicken and vegetable biryani, mock mutton sambal and others. I see this as an opportunity to serve our home food to strangers and to exchange views with others. Food is a way to bring people together and create memories.
