What you’ll do:
Hop onto a ferry with MCF2022 to Kusu Island to meet the friendly temple caretaker Mr Seet! Leave the hustle and bustle of the mainland on an exclusive morning tour of the island before the other visitors come in! Experience the peace and quiet of this humble island and join us to listen in to Mr Seet who will be telling participants about his stories on the island, the secrets of the child-wishing tree (求子树), the 8 Taoist deities that call this temple home and much much more!
Introduce yourself
I have been a commercial insurance broker for my whole life, but I transitioned to become a licensed tourist guide and have been so for about 5 years. After working my entire life for bread and butter, I chanced upon becoming a guide and decided to take a leap of faith to do what I love. Outside guiding, I am a marathon runner, swimmer and cyclist!
To me, Home is…
Where I always feel comfortable and at ease, where I can be myself and in my happiest form!

Kusu Island’s history dates back even before Raffles’ arrival in Singapore, and the temple is rich with history and culture. I am excited to share more fun facts during the tour, come and join us and I can assure you will always remember this day!
Vaccination Requirements
Participants must be fully vaccinated.
Attire
Participants are encouraged to wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants and covered shoes for hiking/trekking.
What to bring
- Participants should bring along an umbrella/poncho, hand sanitiser, insect repellent, and a bottle of water.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) as radio guides will
be used for the tour. - Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.
- Individuals with seasickness should carry their medicine along.

Parking is available at Marina South Pier.
