The Baháʼí faith is one of the world’s youngest independent religions. Get the lowdown on this faith’s prayers and practices from our friends at the Baháʼí Centre.
A religion that emphasises unity across diversity – Enter the premise of the Bahá’í Centre and learn more about the prayers and practices of the youngest of Singapore’s official religions!
Originating from Persia (modern Iran), the first Bahá’ís who settled in Singapore arrived from India in the early 1950s. By 1952, Singapore was home to a dozen Bahá’ís and a local governing body was elected to meet their needs. There are no priests, docents or clergies in the Bahá’í faith and the affairs of the Bahá’í community are managed by annually elected Spiritual Assemblies at the national and local levels.
