My Thai Dinner with Mita Kelder
With its sweet, spicy and sour flavours, it is no surprise why Thai food is a crowd favourite! Mita will be presenting her signature dish from her hometown in Northeastern Thailand, Isan Tam Pa, offering a delicious blend of spices that always hits the spot.

If you’re looking for an authentic Thai food experience, look no further than Mita’s house in Singapore. Here, you’ll be able to learn about the spices and flavours that make Thai food so unique, all while enjoying some of the most delicious home-cooked meals you’ve ever had. Mita is a true Thai Mama, and she loves using fresh vegetables and herbs to create her dishes. She’s also an amazing host, and you’ll feel right at home in her beautiful house.

Food is non-halal. The dinner is not suitable for vegetarians. Food may contain dairy, eggs, nuts and other allergens

Hello everyone! I am Mita and I come from Thailand. I was part of the Thai Association Committee for 15 years and we are proud to showcase our Thai culture. I am a true Thai Big Mama. I love shopping in Tekka Market for fresh Thailand vegetables. I am also a photographer and love to grow fresh herbs and vegetables in my garden.

What’s the story behind the dish you are presenting?
I will be cooking very authentic Thai dishes such as Papaya Salad, Thailand Chicken Wings and Green Curry. They are iconic Thai dishes, but it will be unlike others that you have tasted before, because it has gone through my “Thai” hands. I will explain the variation of these dishes between the different regions of Thailand. .

Kitchen Movements, a series of events curated by The Party Elves, provides a platform for home chefs to shine and share their dishes. They focus on self taught passionate home cooks who cook with locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. Kitchen Movements hopes to cultivate a community that comes together over a shared love of home cooked food and the belief in a giving community.
Attire
- Participants should be dressed respectfully in smart casual (i.e. collared shirt, long pants and covered shoes). Sleeveless attire, shorts/miniskirts or sandals are strictly not allowed.
- Participants will be denied entry if they dress inappropriately.
What to bring
- Participants should bring along an umbrella and a bottle of water.
- Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.
