About My Facilitators

At My Community Festival 2025, our volunteers and facilitators form the backbone of the programme, embodying the spirit of care, connection, and storytelling that defines our work.

This year’s line-up reflects the depth and diversity of Singapore’s volunteer community — from experienced guides like Patrick Lee, Sarafian Salleh, and Lee Yit Seong, who lead tours through River Valley, Telok Blangah, and Geylang Serai, to cultural mappers like Dr. Koh Li Buay and Lim Xin Yi, who preserve everyday neighbourhood histories through careful documentation and resident interviews.

Our volunteers bring a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives: some are educators and heritage professionals like May Hui, Dean Wang, and Dr. Lin Chia-Tsun, while others, like Pan Lina and Vandana Sharma, combine volunteerism with careers in health, care, and community building. Long-time contributors like Beatrice Tay, Jackie Neo, and Gregory Peck continue to lend their time, experience, and commitment to creating memorable encounters with Singapore’s past.

These volunteers and facilitators do more than simply guide tours or host dinners — they animate the festival with warmth, dedication, and insight. Whether bringing participants into wet markets at dawn, introducing them to hawkers and artisans, leading them through historic housing estates, or sharing their own deeply personal connections to place, this community of volunteers ensures that MCF 2025 remains a festival not just of places, but of people.

Together, their efforts create a festival experience rooted in authenticity, accessibility, and shared heritage — a celebration of Singapore’s stories, told by those who care most.
