Find beauty in imperfection with Winnie as she guides you through the art of modern Kintsugi, a traditional Japanese repair technique that uses gold to put broken pottery back together. In this hands-on workshop, Winnie will demonstrate the delicate craft of Kintsugi, showing you how broken pieces can be transformed into beautiful, meaningful works of art. After the demonstration, you’ll have the opportunity to try it for yourself, embracing the creative process and learning to see the beauty in imperfection.
This workshop ties beautifully into the theme of the My First Journeys festival, celebrating life, birth, and rebirth. Just as Kintsugi breathes new life into broken pottery, this practice mirrors the journey of life—how moments of struggle and hardship can be transformed into something even more beautiful. Embrace the idea that to be broken is not to be less, but to be beautifully reborn, stronger and more unique in your imperfections. Winnie’s workshop offers a profound reflection on resilience, healing, and the art of finding beauty in the imperfections of life.
