Having accompanied us through thick and thin, it is difficult for many of us to part with our stuffed toys or chou chous when they start to tear and fall apart. But why part with them when you can give them a second life at the Stuffed Toys Hospital? “Doctor” Jane Cher will be on duty this August to demonstrate her many solutions to mend these toys (and their owners’ hearts) so be sure to bring your stuffed toy for its much-needed consultation!
Jane Cher is the gentle soul behind Stuffed Toys Hospital, with a unique goal dedicated to mending beloved companions—affectionately known as chouchous. With needle, thread, and lots of heart, Jane serves as a “doctor” for well-worn stuffed toys, carefully restoring them for owners of all ages. Since starting this heartfelt project, she has helped countless treasured toys regain their shape, softness, and charm.
Repairing these companions isn’t just a craft—it’s her way of giving back to something that gave her comfort growing up. Each stitch is a small act of healing, not just for the toys, but often for their humans too. Jane hopes to preserve the memories and comfort tied to our very first companions—those quiet witnesses to our childhood adventures and bedtime tears.
Through her work, Jane brings warmth, care, and a touch of magic to every recovery story—proving that no companion is ever too broken to be loved again.
Stuffed Toys Hospital provides a wide-range of restoration services for stuffed companions of all kinds: from minor stitching to major reconstruction, there is a service for every stuffed friend. Founded in 2018, Stuffed Toys Hospital has since restored almost 3000 stuffed toys, and is ready to help many more owners rescue their precious childhood companion. Apart from restoration services, Stuffed Toys Hospital also organizes workshops, provides DIY kits, and retails second-hand stuffed toys.
