Join Vidhya Nair for a warm and welcoming breakfast where participants will gather to reflect on My First Journeys—beginning with the first meal of the day. Often said to be the most important meal, breakfast holds a special place in many cultures, offering comfort, nourishment, and connection.
As a third-generation Singaporean Indian with ancestral roots in Kerala, Vidhya brings her personal heritage to the table through two traditional South Indian breakfast staples: pratha and idiyappam. These dishes, often shared in her home with friends and family, speak to the culinary traditions passed down through generations.
Expect a casual and heartfelt session where stories and flavours come together. Vidhya, who is both a museum docent and tour guide, will gently guide participants through the layers of meaning in the food she serves—how these seemingly simple dishes can connect us to our histories, our families, and the journeys that shape who we are.
Whether you’re new to these dishes or they remind you of your own heritage, this breakfast promises to be a nourishing experience for both body and soul.
