Together with Andrew, Radhika will be whipping up a traditional Bengaluru dinner for us this year! Indulge in a starter of crispy pakodas, followed by a comforting main course of jeera rice and dal makhana – a favourite in the household. Hear directly from Radhika about how she recreates her mother’s warm homecooked food in Singapore, as well as her journey to making handcrafted sweets! This dinner, she will be delighting our taste buds with a delectable homemade dry fruit sweet in Bengaluru, known as burfi, for a perfect ending. Experience the magic of Bengaluru cuisine as Radhika’s culinary prowess takes centre stage during this unforgettable dining experience.

Get ready to indulge in the exquisite flavours of homemade Bengaluru food as you meet Radhika, a talented homemaker with a passion for culinary artistry. Growing up in an Indian household, Radhika learned the art of cooking from her mother, and her skills have been honed over the years. Today, she takes pride in handmaking Indian sweets with love and care. By controlling the ingredient proportions and selecting the finest ingredients, Radhika creates unique textures and flavours tailored to the preferences of her loved ones. The greatest joy for her is seeing the smiles on the faces of her friends and family when they savour her delectable creations.
Andrew is a dedicated My Community volunteer and a familiar face in the Bukit Panjang neighbourhood. With a deep connection to the area, Andrew has spent a large part of his life in Bukit Panjang. He enjoys engaging with the community, meeting new friends, sharing stories, and fostering connections. As a guide for the My Tanglin Halt tour, Andrew brings his passion for history and community to create memorable experiences for visitors. Prepare to embark on a journey with Andrew as he shares his insights and stories about the vibrant neighbourhood he calls home.
Important Details
What to bring?
- Participants should be dressed respectfully in smart casual (i.e. collared shirt, long pants and covered shoes). Sleeveless attire, shorts/miniskirts or sandals are strictly not allowed. Participants will be denied entry if they dress inappropriately.
- Participants should bring along an umbrella and a bottle of water.
- Please ensure that you bring along any personal medication. Asthmatic individuals are reminded to bring their inhaler.

- Dishes may contain dairy, nuts and other allergens. Food is vegetarian but not halal certified.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the event for registration.
- The events will proceed rain or shine.
- Parking is available at 120 Pending Rd, Singapore 678295.
- The venue is not wheelchair accessible.
- Photography is allowed at event premises.
