Tan Boon Yee, at the age of 39, is the proud owner of a vast durian plantation located in Bukit Gambir. Inherited from his father, the plantation is now managed by his son, who oversees both the farm operations and the sorting centre and warehouse. While residing in Muar, Tan Boon Yee frequently travels back and forth to Bukit Gambir, devoting his time and attention to his wholesale store, Heng Long Fruits Trading.
What Tan Boon Yee enjoys most about his job is the opportunity to sit on his farm and witness the durians gracefully falling from the trees. This simple pleasure brings him immense satisfaction. However, he also faces various challenges in his line of work, with the most tiresome being the continuous telephone communications and occasional encounters with irate customers. Tan Boon Yee’s dedication and passion for durian farming make him a prominent figure in the industry, with his commitment evident in both his plantation and his wholesale store.
