Hear from Sandy about how she started getting involved through a simple act of kindness and how the Bedok Reservoir community corner has evolved into a full-fledged community of decorators with a void deck stocked with recycled decorating materials. Hear how she faces setbacks in getting approvals and how she has overcome these challenges by developing good ties with residents and her MP.

About Sandy Goh: When events planner Sandy Goh moved to Bedok Reservoir, she started befriending the residents at the void decks at her block, at first because she saw shady people talking with the seniors. Out of concern, she will help them to read letters and also keep an eye out for potential scammers. Over time, she developed a good relationship with them – getting residents to contribute their ideas on festive occasions and coordinating the setup. Sandy will also share about the setbacks in getting approvals and how she has overcome these challenges by developing good ties with residents and her MP.

- Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably!
- Participants should bring along an umbrella and a bottle of water.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) because we will be using radio guides for the tour!
- Please ensure that you bring along any personal medication. Asthmatic individuals are reminded to bring their inhaler.

- Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.
- The tour will proceed rain or shine.
- Parking is available at Blk 702 Bedok Reservoir Road, Singapore 470702.
- The venue is wheelchair accessible.
- Photography is allowed at event premises.
