What You'll Do
Hear from Koon Tat the heartwarming story of the first time decorating and the negotiation with authorities and neighbours and how the decorations have grown year-on-year into the whimsical wonderland every Christmas. Koon Tat will also share what keeps the extraordinary decorations going through the years.
Meet Your Host
Formerly from a kampong in Woodlands in the 1970s, Carpenter Tan Koon Tat has been working and living in the area for decades. With an all-in-one workshop, he is able to fabricate large-scale items incorporating carpentry, fabric, and painting works to wow his neighbours year after year.

What to bring?
- Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably!
- Participants should bring along an umbrella and a bottle of water.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) because we will be using radio guides for the tour!
- Please ensure that you bring along any personal medication. Asthmatic individuals are reminded to bring their inhaler.

- Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.
- The tour will proceed rain or shine.
- Parking is available at Blk 177 Woodlands St 13, Singapore 730177.
- The venue is wheelchair accessible.
- Photography is allowed at event premises.
