Yip Yew Chong was an accountant when he discovered his passion in painting murals. His first street mural in 2015 at Everton Road drew warm public responses, and thereon, he went on to paint many more murals on weekends as a part-time artist. They often showcase Singapore’s heritage and culture of a bygone era in intricate details. In 2018, Yew Chong decided to pursue his passion full-time and develop his canvas paintings. He has since held two solo art exhibitions and will be holding a third one in December 2023.
