About The Exhibition
This captivating exhibition showcases a diverse collection of photographs sourced from various contributors. Hawkers from Chinatown Complex generously shared some personal photographs, offering an intimate glimpse into their lives and experiences. Renowned photographer and resident of Kreta Ayer, Quek Tiong Swee, has contributed his extensive collection, capturing Chinatown’s evolving landscapes and lifestyles. Additionally, My Community has curated a unique assortment of second-hand photographs at shops around Chinatown Complex. Together, these photographs vividly depict this iconic neighbourhood’s rich history and dynamic spirit.
