During this programme, participants will discover the intriguing stories behind the iconic Good Morning towels and napkins that have been integral to Singaporean lives since the 1920s. Sally will captivate you with her witty storytelling as she unravels tales of fabrics. From dazzling silks to intricate embroideries, explore the art of textiles like never before. With her towel expertise, Sally can recommend the perfect towel to suit her customers’ lifestyles and needs.
Meet Your Host
Sally Ho is the amiable owner of Chat Seng Sundry Goods Shop, which she runs alongside her husband. Originally her father-in-law’s shop, it used to offer a wide range of goods, including shoes and towels, along the streets. With a generous gesture, her father-in-law passed down the shop to her, and in 1983, she relocated the stall to Chinatown Complex. With her knowledge of towels, Sally can recommend the perfect towel for her customers’ lifestyles and needs.

- Participants should bring along an umbrella and a bottle of water.
- Please ensure that you bring along any personal medication. Asthmatic individuals are reminded to bring their inhaler.

- The event will proceed rain or shine.
- Parking is available at Chinatown Complex. Alternative parking is available at Chinatown Point and Maxwell Food Centre.
- The venue is wheelchair accessible.
