What You'll Do
For the freshest deals on your fruits and vegetables, look no further than Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre! Join tour guide Pamela Loh, who will be taking you on a tour of the facility to snag deals and meet the unsung heroes working through the night to categorise, peel, store and package our fruits and vegetables! Be touched by their stories of change and continuity as stall owners share how they keep up and adapt in this increasingly competitive industry!
Meet Your Host
Pamela is a My Community volunteer, an avid traveller and a licensed tourist guide in Singapore. She likes to put on the traveller’s lens to explore the nooks and crannies of Singapore, hear the stories of the people and appreciate what makes Singapore a truly unique place unlike other parts of the world. Staying curious is her mantra.
Important Details
What to bring?
- Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and wear covered shoes with good soles grip.
- Participants should bring along an umbrella, hand sanitisers, insect repellent, and a bottle of water.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) because we will be using radio guides for the tour!
- Please ensure that you bring along any personal medication. Asthmatic individuals are reminded to bring their inhaler.
What to expect?
- Participants will be doing a walking tour around Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre.
- Participants will need to exchange their NRIC, Passport or Employment Pass for a pass to enter Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre.
Other important information
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.
- The tour will proceed rain or shine.
- Parking is available at the entrance of the wholesale centre.
- The venue is not wheelchair accessible.
- Photography is allowed at event premises.
