Step into the vibrant tapestry of Chinatown Complex with the one and only Pyjamas Seller Ho Siew Zhen! This delightful tour unveils the rich history of first-generation shopkeepers who once graced the Kreta Ayer area. Siew Zhen, a ray of infectious happiness and a social butterfly since the 1970s, will regale you with stories of her colourful connections and friendships. Discover the hidden gems, taste the tempting treats, and soak in the lively atmosphere as we wander through the heart of Chinatown. Get ready for a tour that’s as charming as Siew Zhen herself!
Meet Your Host
Ho Siew Zhen, the incredibly friendly shopkeeper of Sun Panda Pyjamas, runs the business with her husband, Lin Niak, affectionately known as Uncle Lim and Auntie Lim. With a history predating the establishment of Chinatown Complex, the couple used to sell their cosy pyjamas along Smith Street, showcasing their unique designs. Her warm and friendly demeanour has endeared her to fellow shopkeepers, forging strong bonds of camaraderie.

- Participants should bring along an umbrella and a bottle of water.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) because we will be using radio guides for the tour!
- Please ensure that you bring along any personal medication. Asthmatic individuals are reminded to bring their inhaler.

- Please arrive 15 minutes before the event for registration.
- The event will proceed rain or shine.
- Parking is available at Chinatown Complex. Alternative parking is available at Chinatown Point and Maxwell Food Centre.
- The venue is not wheelchair accessible.
- Photography is allowed at event premises.
