Lisa will also be sharing about her culinary exploration, which began when she volunteered to pack bento vegetarian food prepared by chefs at a vegetarian restaurant in Queens street and deliver to the front-line workers. Get ready to be inspired by Lisa, a former accountant turned community advocate. With a deep belief in serving others, Lisa has dedicated her time to volunteering work, including medical missions to the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Cambodia. Twice in Sri Lanka, she was assigned to a team to assist in kitchen preparation and serve vegetarian food to volunteers and the medical staff. Her passion for vegetarianism led her to embark on a journey of learning and experimentation in the kitchen. During lockdown, she delved into the world of online recipes, exploring diverse cultures like Taiwanese cuisine. Lisa aims to challenge the perception that vegetarian food is only about health, striving to showcase its delicious and flavourful side. Through her culinary creations, she has personally experienced positive effects on her health, with reduced blood pressure and cholesterol. At 67 years young, Lisa has recently retired and is determined to stay active by sharing her love for cooking and promoting healthy vegetarian food.
