Get ready to meet Paolo, an Italian who made his way to Singapore after spending 11 years in London. As a software engineer, Paolo’s professional journey has taken him across multiple countries, including Italy, Switzerland, France, the UK, the US, and now Singapore. In his earlier days, Paolo worked as a particle physicist. His passion for physics initially led him to pursue research in Singapore, and although he eventually veered away from academia, his fascination with the mysteries of the universe remains. Paolo’s wife, Tamsin, hails from the UK with a British Chinese background. Tamsin will be assisting Paolo in preparing the homecooked meal inspired by Paolo’s hometown food. Paolo’s hometown, Viareggio, in Tuscany, Italy, is known for its summer opera festival and a vibrant shipbuilding industry that crafts luxury yachts.
Meet Gineswari, a dear friend and former colleague of Paolo’s. Their friendship blossomed over coffee breaks in the office pantry, where they discovered that they both reside in Serangoon! Gineswari, a Singaporean Ceylonese, is known for her love of cooking and her culinary prowess. Her family’s roots trace back to Sri Lanka, and during festive gatherings like Deepavali, Gineswari delights her friends with an array of delicious Indian dishes.
